Flint Knapping a Stone Knife

I have been very busy these last few months. I have been trying to learn How To Flint Knapp. Flint Knapping is challenging, requires skill, and has been a rewarding experience. I have a lot to learn, but I do see glimpses of progress. Here is a photo of my latest stone, Flint Knapped knife. This stone knife is Chumash inspired with a hand drawn design that is later laser engraved onto wood. For more info on this knife build, check out my YouTube Channel. The channel has video of me learning and making arrowheads, points, and my stone knives.

Some of the techniques I used on this knife build

Direct Percussion

Indirect Percussion

Pressure Flaking
